Cherokee Creek Golf Club is a Public , 18 hole golf course located in Booneville, Arkansas.
Cherokee Creek Golf Club first opened for play in 1991 as a nine hole course. The course was designed by Witt Tatum. The course was expanded to 18 holes in 2002.
Cherokee Creek Golf Club opened as a nine hole facility winding in and around the woodland along the ditches and creeks of the current front nine. Cherokee Creek's greatest test takes place while playing holes #3 through #9. The fairways are extremely narrow due to the thick growth of trees growing alongside. The moderate-size greens are firm, so even iron shots may be difficult to hold. Water hazards (streams and creeks) come into play on several holes. The signature hole is #7, a 365-yard, par 4, requires a very accurate tee shot up a narrow fairway, then an approach over water to an elevated green. #s 15 and 16 challenge you with blind tee shots. #18 is a long par-5 with a tight approach to the finishing green guarded by large oak trees.
Cherokee Creek Golf Club plays to 6,110 yards from the back tees. The course rating is 70.0 with a slope rating of 113. Par for the course is 72.

Cherokee Creek is an 18-hole layout. The front nine is much tighter than the back and offers a much sterner challenge. The clubhouse is rudimentary at best and no alcohol is available. But, it is a golf course and that is of primary importance.
